A Love That Found Its Way
It began, as the best stories often do, without either of us planning it, at a family friend's wedding in December 2020. The moment I saw him across the room, something in me simply knew. Not loudly, not dramatically, just a quiet certainty that our paths were about to cross in a way that mattered. Being the demure and composed person I am, I didn't make the first move. I stayed exactly where I was, enjoying the party, minding my business, and letting the evening unfold as it would.
He was the one who closed the distance, and in the most unexpected way. He walked over and asked me for some food. It was, quite obviously, his way of starting a conversation, and it worked. We talked long after the party had wound down, exchanged names and numbers, and what began as polite conversation between strangers slowly became friendship.
That friendship deepened over the months that followed, and somewhere along the way, it became clear we wanted more than friendship. By November 2024, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever, and there wasn't a moment's hesitation in my answer. Looking back now, it still amazes me how a simple question about food at someone else's wedding could grow into the beautiful journey we find ourselves on today.
I won't pretend it was always easy, because it wasn't. We faced our share of challenges along the way, moments that tested us both. But through all of it, he never gave up on us, and for that, I love and commend him more than words can say. What we have now is proof that the right love is worth holding onto, even when the road isn't smooth.
